Newsletters
I have experience creating internal and external newsletters. I find newsletters especially fun to create because they include engaging content presented in a warm and inviting way. Internal newsletters tell the story of an organization and model its ideals and vision for employees, while external newsletters draw people in and reinforce an organization’s identity for stakeholders and customers, demonstrating how the organization fits into their lives.
External newsletter
This is an issue of a newsletter I created while at the Florida Department of Health. The intended audience was families of children with special health care needs who were enrolled in a Department-run health plan. Many of the families were low-income or spoke English as a second language, so the reading level was adjusted with that in mind.
internal newsletter
Due to the inclusion of proprietary information, I can’t share an example of an internal newsletter I have created in my current role. One of my main objectives when I began at Marriott Vacations Worldwide was to establish and maintain an internal newsletter for roughly 2,000 global IT associates. At the time of the newsletter’s inception, the organization was undergoing a large-scale integration effort following the acquisition of another company, which opened new doors for the creation of a revitalized IT brand and identity. The document linked below is my formal proposal for the newsletter with a project justification and proposed content.
